Meet The Instructor
Dr. Chan earned his DDS degree from Loma Linda University. Author of a number of publications in the field of neuromuscular dentistry, Dr. Chan has lectured internationally on NM topics. He maintains a GNM practice in Las Vegas and is the founder and Director of Occlusion Connections, a CE organization in Las Vegas that offers continuing education courses in NMD.

A Deep Dive into TMD Diagnosis & Treatment
The first day of the Series 4 Live Course is an intensive exploration into the protocols for performing a full workup and taking a bite. You’ll delve into the anatomy and physiology of the Stomatognathic System, learning how to identify occlusal signs and symptoms that suggest pathology. The day includes a live patient workup for taking a K7 Neuromuscular Bite, offering you a real-world application of the course material. You’ll also learn how to communicate effectively with the lab to eliminate common problems and pitfalls, ensuring a good fitting and functional orthotic.
Mastering Orthotic Delivery & Adjustments
Day 2 focuses on the proper techniques for coronoplasty of a Neuromuscular Orthotic. You’ll learn the principles for a physiologic occlusion and how to manage functional excursion. The day includes a demonstration where the orthotic made on Day 1 is delivered, showing proper coronoplasty techniques. You’ll also explore the use of EMG to identify first-tooth contact prematurity, timing, and occlusal balance. This comprehensive training ensures that you leave the course with the skills and knowledge to successfully treat TMD patients in your practice.

- Proper techniques to Coronoplasty a Neuromuscular Orthotic.
- Occlusal adjustment technique of occlusal adjustments.
- Myomonitor technique for recording and adjusting micro-occlusal contacts using articulating paper, occlusal indicator wax and Scan 12.
- Deliver the Orthotic from Day 1 showing proper Coronoplasty techniques.
- The importance of Involuntary J5 TENS adjustment vs. habitual occlusal adjustment.
- Assessing the objective recorded data (Scan 4/5) – Coronoplasty or orthosis?

Cancellation Policy
Since space is limited in order to create the best learning experience possible, cancellations received outside the 60 days prior to the course are subject to a cancellation fee of $500 per Doctor and $200 per team member. No refunds will be given if canceled within 60 days of the event. Cancellations must be in writing.
Myotronics Inc. reserves the right to cancel courses prior to the scheduled date of a course for any reason, including an insufficient number of participants. Should Myotronics cancel a course; Myotronics will refund the fees in full. Myotronics will not be responsible for any other fees, costs or consequential damages with canceling this Myotronics course or activity. Myotronics recommends that participants do not make any non-refundable travel or lodging reservations more than 30 days before any event for which they have registered.
